It is an ethnic group of people who occupy the middle east.THey have over the centuries displaced the local s or intergrated with them from the borders of Turkey across to Iran and down to Eygpt.Not all are muslim a few are christian in Lebanon,Egypt,Syria and Israel.

Arabic is a semitic language
Those who speak it as their mother tongue and whose social mores they accept are Arabs
Not all Iraqis/Egyptians etc are Arab and can get upset if you so call them!
Basically,the Arabs were a nomadic people criss crossing Arabia with their herds following routes for fodder and water
