Well said!!
Mother nature goes by just one consistent principle... balance. So as she gives us a lot, she takes too. The bigger problem is when we use our intelligence and create imbalances, which leave mother nature with no other alternative but to punish us so as to get the balance back in place.

You have given a very well felt phrase, Strange Relationship.
This universe is in a process regardless of the fact that we are born, we are dead or alive, happy or unhappy. This is a solid reality. Animals have instincts to save themselves. Man also has instincts, but man has mind above animals to find out for himself. Stones and other stocks just can't do anything. It is the natural process that affects them largely. But, man and animals can also affect these.
So, if you Personify nature, you have emotions for it. Hence, it is always Wise not to personify the nature, rather you should feel its strength as such, and try to coordinate with nature without an all out conflict and mutiny with nature, which is considered to be highly unwise attitude.

disease, caused by germs and toxins believe it or not come from mother nature if you thank about it but to tell you the truth on a worldly scale it is the weapons made by the hand of man the guns. the AK-47 alone has killed more people than any other weapon including the nuclear bombs or the lethal gas. It is also deployed in over 16 nations mainly the middle east. but man made weapons have killed far more humans than all other sources combine. so ill tell you what is strange that we our selves are the biggest threat to our own survival, and the biggest threat to our own mass extinction, that my friend is strange

I fully agree, it was Mother Nature who created us and who controls us. it's hard to believe the smallest thing in the world is potentially the most fatal, viruses - microscopic but deadly.
We have no control over hurricanes, earthquakes etc "natural disasters" but we do have some impact on "Global Warming" which is partly to blame for severe weather conditions!!
It is a strange realtionship but this is the gift we've been given - life - live it to the fullest!!!!!
:D

I think Father Time takes down more of us than Mother Nature... just not in such dramatic fashion. Us humans killing ourselves off is a distant third for now... man made climate change may change that in the near future though.

I don't see it as a strange relationship at all! We are not apart from nature, we are a part of it. We are animals, just like all the other animals.
Its strange to try to insulate ourselves from the dangers of nature to the point where we forget the dangers exist, and are then surprised by them.
I don't think nature exixts to serve us; it just is the way it is. Some stuff benefits us and some doesn't.

Mother Nature can kill...But mostly it's the greed of us humans that are responsible.
We plunder the earth for benefits. We take from the poor causing them to starve to death. We invent things to disrupt and give ourselves cancers. We cause global warming and we spread diseases far and wide. Need I say more.?

well nature always finds a balance, and as humans are over-populated, yes, nature could be the biggest killer. However, I can't resist the cliche of saying humans are the biggest killer of humans. Oh, come on, someone had to say it! lol

Actually...mosquitos are the biggest killers of human beings. They've killed more people than all the wars put together...fact.
'Mother Nature' could live without us very nicely....and one day probably will.

No, the biggest killer of humans are humans. And we're killing Mother Nature too. And she's one tough ***** who doesn't take things lying down. Hence, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc...
