I too use Norton but I didn't install go-back. It is a good idea to have some type of recovery program on your PC but I found go-back made my PC start up too slow.
So I suppose the answer to your question would be, if you don't want to install it don't, your PC will still work OK without it.
Good Luck!!

No and i really wouldnt advise using go back either. It has so many compatibility issues. In the start up options you should be able to untick the box in a custom installation. Failing that put cd in drive explore the disk, look for Norton anti virus folder and use set up in there. This should bypass go back package.

Norton Go Back is recovery software similar to system restore in essence but much more capable; see here

no...it will just slow down your computer...norton is good enough when youll be careful enough...always scan your computer weekly...and check for updates every wednesday...go back's just a waste of time...if you will use norton properly...youll be secured..=)
