I think Tadae is very unique and should have a unique way of spelling.

If the spelling is silly nobody will be able to pronounce it, and having a surname nobody can say right, I know how annoying it is. Tell her to use a spelling that is obvious in what it is supposed to say. Taday looks fine to me. The suggestion 'Tadaiey' just seems silly, it's too many vowels.

I don't think there's anything wrong w/ this name. I know a girl whose name is Tammara, like tomorrow. She goes by Tammy. Anyway, I like Taday the best for spelling.

I like Tadae, you can tell how to pronounce it and it's pretty. Witha "y" on the end is just too much like today. You want people to know it's inspired by it but not a copy.

About the different spelling, I prefer Tadae
But just an advice : your friend should give her daughter a name that people know how to pronounce.
When people read my name, they don't know how to pronounce it, and it's very annoying.
