the Best Picture Oscar goes to the producer, so if Letters From Iwo Jima won, Steven Spielberg would win his 4th Oscar. and although Steven is without question my favourite famous person on the planet and even though i really like Alejandro González Iñárritu right now, i REALLY want Martin Scorsese to win Best Director! that's the one i care the most about... : )

I don't even watch the Oscars anymore because it has gotten so political. No matter where you look whether it's tv, online, the radio, newspaper, etc...you're bombarded with nothing but politics. I'd go back to watching the Oscars if it was completely non-political and more about the MOVIES!
