i always tried to keep a postive attitude about myself i know i was not born the best looking or the smartest, and i always thought if i thought i was handsome or goodlooking it would show. Having a wonderful personlality but not the looks = having alot of good friends and being very likeable in a friendly way ..... Having the looks and a average or no personlaity still likeable you still get all the girls. So all in all looks really are everything and anybody who says there not time to take a realtiy check

You sure you're not just being hard on yourself? Looks are important, but not everything! I might see a hot guy, but then talk to him and find out he's cocky or dumb... huge turnoff!!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... what I think is hot someone else might not! There is someone out there for everyone!!! That's why there is such a variety of people out there! My fiance doesn't think he's very goodlooking, but I think he's awesome. Tell yourself that you're hot! It does show if you think you are goodlooking! : )

Looks are not necessarily everything but the problem is getting someone to pay attention to you long enough to discover your wonderful personality when all the gods and goddess are strolling by. On the other hand, if all the other person thinks about is the way someone looks, then they are probably pretty shallow themselves and you deserve better. Just take good care of yourself with diet and exercise and be sure to maintain proper hygiene, no likes a stinkeroo, and don't sweat it, your special someone may be closer than you think.

Well, looks are important. That's undeniable. However, over time, if a person has an unpleasant personality, even the best-looking of people somehow start to appear ugly. On the other hand, people with average looks but good personalities somehow start to look better over time.
Looks are in the eyes of the beholder. Don't let what someone/a group or people said affect yourself. People who make you feel worthless aren't worth your effort, because they don't care about you.
Yes, looks are important, but they are not everything.

Looks are not everything, although they sometimes do make a difference. Even the prettiest people out there may be snobs, and the supposedly ugly ones may have great personalities.
Maybe you yourself should do a reality check. If you got insulted by a shallow girl just because of your looks, don't take it to heart. Otherwise, you are proving yourself to be as stupid as some of the idiots out there.
And, with reference to the first answer, looks are not everything to girls, and not all of us lie.

Looks matter to an extent....I know I for one have always had a " warped sense of attractiveness " as opposed to my friends. Guys I find attractive they would wrinkle their noses at...There's someone for everyone out there, and everyone's personal preferences are different. You just need to find one of the unique " strange " girls out there like me.
