Currently using 2 yrs old Tecom AR1021 DSL modem from Singnet for my old Desktop & a new notebook.

2Wire. it's a simple as you can get.

I have tried one from DLINK but faced some issues and shifted back to Wirelss Router and ADSL Modem old ones.

So make sure that what ever u get has worked before for some one.

ADSL modem is always available from the service provider. You just buy Xyxel wireless router & the service provide will install it for you. I hope you are trying to connect your laptop to the base computer?

Try 3Com or Syslink products...
they easy to setup and use...

I have been using both for a while...they both great :D

Try speedtouch. I have used its product and never faced any problems.
