It depends on how you broke it, the made up accident has to be consistent with the manner in which it was broken.
It's not rocket science.

You can't fool hospital staff. They've seen enough abuse cases that it's automatic. The best thing you can do is tell them the truth. Yes you'll have to talk with detectives, but unless you show malice with no remorse the judge should just sentence classes for you with no jail time. If you lie then it will look like your habitual and a lot of problems will occur for you.

First thing how old is he? You left out to much for us to decide if you had a possible chance of having no choice, were you holding him down, saving his life, saving your own? I guess there are circumstances where you could swing a doubt but you better tell the truth they know any way, they are trained to watch for these things and I thank God for that not to many excuses for breaking a child's arm. Hope you get what you deserve either way, with a double dose if you don't have a +10 reason for it happening.

IF YOUR SON KNOWS HE WENT BERZERK THEN IF THE SUBJECT COMES UP AT THE HOSP[TAL , MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE WITH HIM ( IF POSSIBLE IN THE EXAMINING ROOM) SO YOUR SON , IF NECESSARY CAN SAY " IT WASNT MY MOMS FAULT AT ALL, BECAUSE I SHE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO RESTRAIN ME . MAYBE THE ARM IS DISLOCATED RATHER THAN BROKE. UNLESS YOUR SON WANTS TO SAY HE WAS CLIMBING A TREE AND HIS ARM GOT CAUGHT IN BETWEEN TWO BRANCES BUT I DONT REALLY KNOW. YOU THINK ABOUT IT AND DO WHAT YOU THINK BEST. THEY ( MEDICAL STAFF) CAN USUALLY TELL FROM THE MANNER AND TYPE OF BREAK IF IT WAS FROM WRESTLING ETC AS OPPOSED TO A FALL. YOU HANDLE IT AND FOR GOODNESS SAKES DONT LET THINGS EVER AGAIN GET SO WILD.

You tell them, "I'm an abusive parent and I broke my son's arm. Lock me up." Because they should.

And I hope you aren't sitting around waiting for answers instead of taking your kid to the ER.

Parent of the year award, right here. Maybe they'll give you some parenting classes once they let you out.

I really wish the Yahoo Answers profiles said where people lived because I'd certainly print all this out and call your local police department and try my hardest to track you down!

What kind of parent not only breaks their kid's arm but then has the audacity to come on here and ask for help in LYING to cover his/her own f'n as$??! That's just sick. It's quite clear who the "parent of the year" award is NOT going to!

And just as disgusting are the people that are actually giving you advice on how to lie about it! WTF?!

WHO was out of control, YOU or him??? Did you break his arm in an inadvertent attempt to keep him from harming HIMSELF or did you break his arm because you couldn't CONTROL him? You couldn't keep him from exibiting behaviour you could not tolorate??? His arm is broken, and all of this time, he is home suffering, while you try to figure out the best thing to say to the E.R. doc so you don't get BUSTED???
