It used to be for touchdowns. Now you`ve got your first down dance, your sack dance, knock the pass down dance, tackle dance, whats next? You fumble the ball away and dance? Am i watching soul train or football?

Old time players didnt do this. Barry Sanders didnt do that crap, he kicked *** and went back to the huddle. I think the N.F.L. is degenerating.

If some guy gets knocked out on a play, should his teamates hold him up and swing his limbs around so he can celebrate? They are getting paid millions to do thier job. When you make that kind of money you are supposed to do these things.

There does seem to be an inordinate amount of "Hey, everybody, look at me" in sports these days. I think it's a reflection of changes in society in general, though I can think of one coach who has admonished his players to act, when they score a touchdown, as if they'd done so before.
I remember when men's clothing and hairstyles were rather uniform and men were expected to stand out for their performance and personality rather than for gimmicks, but nowadays everybody seems to need a "hook."
