Are you serious with this question?

Bobby Jenks is a flamethrowing closer who won a World Series title in 2005.

Kerry Wood is an injury-prone underachiever who chokes in big moments.

I pick Jenks.

No question - Jenks. Jenks showed that he can close the big game on the biggest stage of all.
Wood is a good pitcher. No question. But without a doubt, he is injury prone. In fact, he can't seem to get healty. And he has never been a closer.
It will be interesting to see if Kerry Wood is able to beat out Dempster for the job.

Well right now I'd have to say Bobby Jenks for a couple of reasons.

The first reason is that Kerry Wood isn't the Cubs slated closer yet. Right now Wood is simply supposed to be coming out of the bullpen in a middle-relief/set-up role and Ryan Dempster is still the Cubs closer.

Secondly, if Wood does become the closer I still feel as though Jenks will have the edge. The White Sox have a better overall bullpen to set up him, Jenks has experience as a closer, Wood has proven himself to be a huge injury liability and it would be a very ballsy move if the Cubbies decided to stick him in the closer role as it puts more stress on his arm on a night-to-night basis and finally...rumors are swirling that Jenks took his offseason conditioning program very seriously this time around and dropped nearly thirty pounds to prepare for this season.

Jenks had lightning stuff before, but if he got the weight issues under control he could be very scary to see on the hill in the ninth inning.

Jenks over the non-closer in a land-slide.

JENKS.
Waaaaaay too many question marks about Wood.

A. The guy had Tommy John elbow surgery and hasn't really been the same since.

B. He's not even 100% healthy now... Wood is coming off of a torn rotator cuff.

C. Wood is not even the Cubs official closer right now; he is just a middle reliever trying to prove he can make the transition and prove he can stay healthy before the Cubs commit him to being their closer.

Now I think it's a smart move by the Cubs making this switch... I think Wood has a better shot at being successful at being a closer. I know Jenks was shaky last year and had an e.r.a. Over 4... but at least he has proven he can stay healthy and be a dominant closer, unlike Wood.

Bobby Jenks would be the better closer of the 2 pitchers

Kerry Wood has been sideline to often in recent years with a injury of some sort that he would be more of a hindrence as a Closer till he can prove that he'll be able to play a bulk of the season. I'm not dishing on Wood because I'm a Cards fan, because Wood is a good pitcher, but I just don't see anything in Wood right now that would convence me that he would be reliable enough to even be a closer, till he can get enough playing time in to prove to me that he's back to his capabilities and not get hurt.

As much as I love Kerry Wood, I would have to say Bobby Jenks he is good.

Apples and Oranges...Jenks has a track record as a closer but Wood doesn't and Wood is scheduled to be a set up man to Ryan Dempster anyway. The Cubs would probably be better with Wood as the closer but then again there is so much Cub love out there people forget Wood has a nickname of Kid DL now.

Kerry Wood is a good pitcher but has had problems with injuries. Bobby Jenks has been a durable pitcher for the Sox so I would go with Jenks.

Jenks is a current proven closer. Kerry Wood has yet to get the opportunity to do so. You can't really compare at this point.
