In the US market, if a product or service is low quality, the price of it has to be low. That is how the market mechanism works. People around the world admire the US for the free market system. So, why college education is a exception ?What is wrong?

That's not how the market mechanism works. The cost of a product is dependent not on its quality, but on how much people are willing to pay for it. That is in fact how capitalism truly works. I don't know what kind of college education in the US you think is "low quality", but if it's expensive, that just means that enough people out there think it's good enough to spend lots of money on.

You obviously don't understand the free market system. It's based on supply and demand, not quality. Quality is simply one factor that affects demand.

Take your average Gucci or Prada wallet. Very high end. Very expensive. Quality is actually pretty crappy. Your average wallet that's a tenth of the cost will have better quality. Yet, the high end wallet can demand that higher price because of other factors besides quality (like prestige, etc.).

Obviously, the Chinese educational system isn't doing a good job teaching free market economics. Maybe there are other subjects it's not so great at? Considering the Chinese gov't controls everything with a communist tinge (despite communist gov't's collapsing everywhere), maybe your Chinese education isn't as great as you may think?

This is aside from cost of living differences. That's a huge factor which explains price differences, but pointing it out should be enough to show there are other reasons why your argument fails pathetically.

I don't know what you mean by a low quality education, but most schools of low quality do not charge as high of tuition rates as top tier schools so your observations here are fault at best - totally wrong at worst. Maybe it would help if you sited some examples.

Good Luck!!!

If that was an attempt to insult the American education system, it was pathetic. Go ahead, hate Americans. We'll be crying all the way to the bank.
