No frill basicly mean no extras, just the bare bones.

A no frill airline would not give you free peanuts, pretsels or soda inflight.

And yes, there are no frill fitness places. There is one called curves that is for women only, and offers a 30 minute arobic workout.
A no frill fitness center would not have a pool, jacuzi, sauna or anything but the basic work out equipment.

Have you ever seen a movie with a jail scene in it? If so was their an out door gym in the scene? If there was, THAT'S ' no frills ' fitness. You can say no frills in the fitness industry, I wouldn't, but you can. The trouble is, unless you are certain that you can get a clientele of people that are just a bunch of ' work out nuts ', you need to attract new people. It doesn't matter what industry you are in, it's all about VALUE. People at least want to think that they are getting more than their moneys worth. The trick is, figuring out how to make them.

'No frills' means no special features, nothing fancy, no fuss.
