I know the aria music charts compiles a list of top 40 songs of the year, you can pick them up from kmart in the music centre, I've only seen them at the end of the year - december/january.

Last.fm has a weekly song and artist chart. the site is a really good music site.

Try Rolling Stones website, I know they have the top 500 greatest songs of all time listed.
