what does this mean in cases of child support?

does it just mean your net pay of the paycheck?

or after living expenses the left over money?

Yes, disposable earning is the same as net income. Child support is based on gross income, but if you're not earning enough to cover your support payment, most states will allow them to take upto 50% of your net.

If your in Arkansas they take your gross earnings minus taxes and use a chart to figure your payment. This is what you will pay. The judge is the only one that can deviate from the chart and that does'nt happen very often. Does'nt matter if you have a family to support or how many bills you have. I think its B/S, They base it on the assumtion that all the fathers are deadbeats and thats not allways the case.
