Your question makes no sense. Where in the known universe is lodging, or anything else, free? I have often gotten "free" rooms, but only after having paid for them with sufficient gambling points. For the cheapest rooms, you'll have to stay in a shabby place, but that should be obvious. Besides trying http://www.motel6.com and http://www.super8.com , which aren't actually that cheap or shabby, try the shabbiest places Downtown: Gold Spike, El Cortez, Western. For information (especially on the "locals" casinos off the Strip), go to http://www.cheapovegas.com

How about the homeless shelter down on Bonanza Street. A poker player should fit right in there.

You could contact the event and see if they can help you. I don't know how much you can wear but, if you find a hotel to put you up and wear their shirts, caps etc. It's free advertising for them to have you wear their stuff. Try everything. It's a busy weekend but, there should be someone willing to put you up for the few days you are there.
Good luck.

I doubt you'll find a place for free, but you may be able to find a hostel, which will give you a place to sleep for cheap.
Good luck, let's hope you win!
