When you said "there there" I instantly though of now now. Like don't be afraid everything will work out fine.

I can't say for sure, but I know Shakespeare used the phrase in one of his plays. I forget which one, but the character was using it to comfort himself.

If it's not straight out of Old Will's brain, I would guess that the English version was taken from some other language. Perhaps "there, there" sounds similar to the original, but the word that rhymes with 'there' means something different.

There, you have my opinion there.
