Thinking in error causes us to be sad or depressed. The over all result is a negative outlook. The negative outlook creates a situation that is conducive to sickness or illness. When we are depressed we are less likely to get out and get exercise. Less likely to eat right.
More likely to have stress induced problems like high blood pressure and other factors that lead to illness or disease.
Right thinking or Positive thinking causes just the opposite situation.
The trick seems to be staying aware of it.

I can think of one instance where it does. How one thinks to a great extent determines the emotions one feels. Negative thinking results in a down feeling or sadness and positive thinking results in an elevation of mood or happiness. I think the entire purpose of living is the seeking of evidence, through words and deeds, that ones existence matters. When there is evidence it does there is elation. When one gets a derogatory comment one suffers a sinking feeling.
If one dwells on these negative things that is an error in thinking and too long a preoccupation with the negative thoughts leads to depression which in turn results, too often, in more negative thinking. This cycle is an error in thinking. One can sink so low in mood he or she becomes suicidal and this often leads to death.
It has been abundantly shown that a positive outlook leads to good health and that a state of despondency can prolong sickness.

Disease, sickness are because of our habits of not following things like daily exercise and food and water habits.
Death is as natural as birth in natural condition for all at the end of the natural life period.

I try not to err therefor it is not a habit for me but when I do err it is just a mistake.
Disease, sickness and death is just as natural as eating and crapping. It's also population control.
