Yes, all 4 times in my life I have used the Greyhound. The last time I took it from San Diego to Las Vegas about 5 years back, it took around 9 hours stopped in every town along the way, and sat next to someone who smelled of BO mixed with Alchohol, who continuously bragged of all the illegal things he had done in the past. I had a round trip ticket, but when I arrived in Vegas one of the first things I did was call Southwest airlines and booked a flight for my return date. Flying is much better and faster and really not that much more expensive than taking the Greyhound.

I took only one trip and like you, Never again!
I had taken the bus because airport security checks and flight time was equal to the four hour bus trip. I thought I could get more sleep by taking the bus. I slept only 30 minutes the whole trip.
Half the bus was sick with the flu, coughing, sneezing, vomiting. The bus driver was an Ogre! At one of the stops, he left a bunch of people trying to buy additional medicines and use the restrooms.
When we got off the bus, someone had stolen one of our bags. And then to top it all off -- I caught the flu and was sick for 1 month!

I took my 3 young children on along trip from Texas to Indiana in December- it was cold. Our bus driver left us (the whole bus) parked outside of ST Louis MO and went to a motel to sleep. We were delayed hours and missed our connection and took 10 hours to get from there to Terre Haute, IN. Which is a couple hour drive max! THEY SUCK! They lost my luggage and found it 4 days before we returned home!! We were all sick from sitting in cold bus for so long! That was in 2001 and I have not stepped foot on another Greyhound bus since!!

Just got back from a trip. The driver on the first part of the trip was o.k. but not friendly. The return trip driver was friendlier but both directions were very boring but I would do it again. You just got the wrong drivers or you may have offended them somehow. People unfortunately judge by appearance.

HAHA, that's because you were going to NYC, they have to be @$$'s, I called a post office in Brooklyn once to check on a package, and it they answered the phone "yeah", then proceeded to tell me about how F-ed up their migrant, "$p!c-@$$" workers were, and so on. That was a direct quote, I was not trying to be insulting. I've taken a greyhound from PA to FL many times and it was so much fun. You meet the coolest people on there.
