Well don't let them bother you. It takes more courage to stand for ones principles and beliefs than follow the sheep around. Alcohol can be a trap if you are not careful. Ignore them, be true to what you believe and you will be happier in the long run.

No. I know some people that choose not to drink, and I can still socialize perfectly with them on topics other than alcohol (hobbies and interests that we have in common, like video games and science in general).
I don't drink that often (say maybe at most once or twice every 6 months or so) and when I do, I know when to stop. However nowadays when I go out with friends I do practice self-restraint and just order a glass of water or a soda.

Think about it. They called you a loser because you don't swallow bacterias waste end product.
That's like accusing someone of being a loser for not wanting to drink animal urine.
A few people out of the 6 +billion of us called you a loser. Because, you don't want to get drunk, act like an idiot, throw up and have a hangover like them. I remember a saying this woman named Elanor Rosavelt has; " No one can make you feel inferior. Without your consent. "
Ignore them form now on and find new more sober friends. There's more to life then getting smashed all the time.

No you are not a loser because you prefer not to drink alcohol and don't let anyone call you a loser because you have chose not to drink alcohol. Good for you.
I would like to add that I don't drink alcohol either and I am far from being a loser.

Not at all. Your choice about alcohol has nothing to do with you being a winner or loser. You have seen the consequences of drinking and choose not to. The losers are the people that get drunk and do stupid stuff.

Simply NO. First off, I used to drink alcohol because of the whole peer pressure business and my circle of friends drink a lot of alcohol. Then I realized that I don't like the taste of alcohol, I don't have fun while drinking alcohol, and since I drive a lot, I sure as hell do not want to put myself in danger because of alcohol.
So I made a decision to just simply not drink anymore. My friends continued to and at first they always bagged me about it and I simply told them it wasn't my thing. After awhile they realized I meant it and stopped pestering me.
If those people who call you a loser are your friends, you need to reevaluate the friendship. If they are just acquaintances, you can find better people to socialize with.
It's all up to you what you want to do. You don't need to drink alcohol to be "cool". Most people act like idiots while drunk anyway.
On top of that, alcohol is just WAY too many useless calories you can just live without. But that's a side topic.

No. And don't hang around people that call you a loser. A lot of serious alcoholics are losers, though. That's a fact.

No, Keith your not. In fact, you are a very smart guy. Look at all the things alcohol can do to people today. Look at all the lives that have been ruined and even killed because of it. I know all about it because I am a recovered alcoholic. The fact that I am alive and have been sober for 18 years is truly a miracle from God. Loser no, smart beyond your years yes. Don't let peer pressure get to you. Stay strong.

You are not a loser if you have a drink.
How ever if you start being belligrent, saying
stuff that would probably cause strain in
your relationships: as well as ruining your friends
carpet and furniture cause there was no end
to how you puked, that is what makes one a loser.
If you don't see the point in drinking or doing drugs, you are on the right course. If having fun is
being arrested and going to rehab I rather be home bored

You're definitely not a loser. There's still plenty of time for you to pick up an alcohol habit. Don't give up!
