Personality is in the brain, if a brain is transferred into a body that body will act as the brain was acting in the former body.

You know, I've actually thought about this a great deal in the past. Putting aside that this is most likely impossible, I think that the person would act relatively the same as they did before, but I also think that perhaps the introduction of a new body may influence how a person acts. Much like how a person feels much more confident in themselves when they lose those 5 vanity pounds, I think a new bodily environment may have a lasting affect on a person's personality. While a person's personality is not really linked to their body, in the end I believe it would change a person in one way or another.

Hypothetically if my brain were transplanted to your body my brain would have my IQ and perform all the tasks it has been trained to do while in my body. Some task may become retarded because your body may not have what my body had or a task may necessitate a particular surrounding or add-ons like people or possessions. Similarly it may gradually learn to do some of these tasks differently to suit your body and your surroundings along with your add-ons. For example if I am right-handed and you are left-handed, my brain may have to re-train to adjust to your body. The same way it will have to readjust to relationships with people. Consider this if you were to hire a five star hotel chef and ask him to cook without the required equipment or ingredients, his skills will be wasted. Come to think of it you can actually see examples of a brain that does not suit the body if you meet what we call retarded people…brains of a 10 year old in the body of a 20 year old etc.

welll... according to me...no that wont be true that the person will act like the former person or himself... he may or may not act like one among the 2 but may be like a third person.

it depends for what part of brain is being used...? that makes a person sensitive logical creative etc..etc...

he may act anyway...

well i think the person will think just like the person whose brain is transplant... because the the patient(to whom brain is transplanted) wont have anything of his own to think i.e he wont have his own logic or ideas
