He'd make an average president at best.

- He has been rather weak on taking a stand on border control even though he is governor of a border state.
- He doesn't seem like he'd be very effective in improving the country's education standards. The state of New Mexico has continued being in the bottom five in education rankings nationwide.
- He has also approved providing financial aid for illegal immigrants and non-U.S. citizens.

I figure his presidential run to actually be a way of getting picked as someone's running mate for the VP position, but I doubt any of the more serious presidential contenders would actually consider him based on his record.

When Bill Richardson first ran for Congress, in 1980, an adviser suggested he campaign as Bill Richardson Lopez, given that his mother was Mexican and in Spanish-speaking nations, the mother's surname is placed after the father's. "Too obvious," Richardson scoffed. Today, as the nation's only Hispanic Governor, the New Mexican has figured out precisely when and how to flaunt his roots. "No, I will not run for President," he told a New Hampshire Latino audience in June. And then he added in Spanish, "Of course, I will be a candidate!"

Yes, I believe Bill Richardson would make a very good president. He is a former diplomat, former Ambassador to the UN, and has been used to peace & resue missions around the world. He is also intelligent, has good communications skills, knows what he wants to do as president, and is a fair and honest person. He is also a moderate--not a flaming liberal or a neoconservative. He is also experienced in world affairs & is the Governor of New Mexico, which takes good administrative & organizational skills.

NO, HE IS JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THE OLD CLINTON CRONIES! ANYWAY, HILLIARY WILL HAVE A "HISSIE FIT"
ABOUT HIS RUNNING AND DEMAND THAT BILL GET ONE OF HIS FRIENDS TO CALL HIM UP AND MAKE HIM AN OFFER THAT HE CAN'T REFUSE! JUST LIKE THEY DID TO AL GORE! YOU DO REMEMBER " GOOD OLD AL" DON'T YOU. HE WANTED TO RUN IN 2004. IF AL WON POOR OLD HILLIARY WOULDN'T GET HER CHANCE NOW AND SHE WOULDN'T BE VERY EASY TO LIVE WITH NOW WOULD SHE!
