when as in trying to describe the relationship between two things. if one is going up while the other is going down, thats inverse, but what if they go up togehter?

Not enough information. The additive inverse is -20. The multiplicative inverse is 1/20. Maybe you want another kind of inverse.

The opposite of inverse is converse, i.e. if one is going up and the other down the objects are moving inversly or oppositely.

If the objects are moving up, they move up conversly.
