It has been established for some time that we all see the universe differently, otherwise known as relativity.

Either we are fixed to this physical body and are unable leave it or to see things from any other point of view OR our 'physical body' is but a figment of our imagination, our way of dealing with the things around us. If the former is true then the universe is easy to understand, however if the latter is true then things become very much more complicated.

Which causes me to ask 2 questions:
1. Are we our physical bodies or are we something else with our physical bodies being not more than shadows of our true selves?

2. If we are more, what is it that stops me from mixing with or entering another one who is more? And if we are more why is our 'physical body' so hard to change?

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PEASE.

I thank you in advance.

This is a lot easier to understand if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.

This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.

At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.

We ourselves or the bodies you are talking about are not exceptions to this phenomenon.

These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.

From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.

I hope that helped, and did not just confuse things.

Our minds and bodies are not separable. It's provable that there is no distinction between a spirit realm and a physical realm, and we can't even prove that the physical exists. So we can't reduce the self to two things "mind" and "body." For each functioning physical human brain supporting consciousness, there must be a point of view, and vice versa. It'd be as impossible to blend with another consciousness, as it is for two rocks to occupy the same physical space and time.

The only statement that this all brings to my head is this:

What eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes. Meaning it is easier for most people to believe the physical body is us. Spiritual belief says that our souls lie within us, still making our bodies the "temple" of our soul. Which would make our bodies part of us. At least til we die.

Basically, we are our physical bodies with capability to interact with outside world through eyes(seeing), nose(smell-breathing), ears(listen), mouth(speak- taking food) all controlled through mind, the quality of the majority.

At higher level have the capability to read and effect the outer world through Jnana which is the quality of the few with extra efforts, determination and practice. These few affect the majority.

Let's see...yup I can bleed j/k.
If we are something more...what next.
I'd have to say nature intended it that way for question 2.

-ALTHOUGH some people believe thoughts to be a small piece of energy and if everyone believes enough on one thing, then it may come true. Theory of course.

I think realativity is not the right term.
It is what is called one's "world view"
I like the flat world example:
There is a being that has two dimensions. they live on a flat surface like a table top. They can go foreward and backward and right and left but not up and down.
I can reach down and pick one up off their plane surface and set it back down ,yet it cannot even point in my direction. I like to think of my relationship to higher beings in this way.
