I can tell you by example .

lets say you have the problem 4,284/7

1. you know 7 cant go into 4 so you go cne more number to the right and take 7 into 42 and it goes 6 times 6 x7 =42 and then subtract 42-42=0
2. bring down the next number which is 8 7 goes into 8 1 time 1 x7=7 with 1 as a remainder
3.the 1 is carried over and the 4 is brought down and 7 goes into 14 2times 7 x2=14 14-14=0
