I see girls wearing jeans with salwars and duppatta. Recently I also started doing so. I like it very much too. It is very comfortable and it gives a lot of confidence too. What you gals think about this?.

I love it! I became a big admirer of Shilpa Shetty's style from Bollywood fame and most recently Celebrity Big Brother...She did exactly what you're doing and it was gorgeous. Im sure it looks beautiful on you too.

Let me be clear. If we just go on fusing our ideas with other counties, we Indians stand no where.Example, if we think of an Arab country, you can think what dress Arabs wear.Right? But in our country, especially Young girls or men are carried away by the Western culture which dosen't suit Indian atmosphere. So, if the youth of today don't realize the value of Indian culture and tradition, then it's a disgrace.Everything looks good in India but if a Westerner sees an Indian in such a dress, he my get wrong impression of our country. If you feel comfortable with Indian dresss too but if a foriengner sees that ,it looks wierd. It's better to modify our dressing in a way which does not comprise other country's ideas but we ourselves can bring about a change.
I know my answer is elaborate but it is our country's tradition that matters.I'd like to know your opinion. My Email id is cutepurple246@yahoo.co.in

We can mix Indian and Western dresses. It depends on the length of the salwar. You can even wear such an outfit without a duppatta. You can even try wearing a good and crushed material skirt with an embroidered kurti and a good embroidered chunni. It would be good to buy them from reasonable but dependable shops. And if you live in Delhi you can go to lajpat nagar and buy the outfits. You can even wear western spaghittis over the skirts and a chunni over it will look good, even look good without exposing too much.

You are wear or mix and match anything as far as you are comfortable in it and if it is adding to your confidence why not? Lot of bangles and big bindi on jeans and now with stole...wow you can do a lot.

You don't need to mix both. You can have your own choice. But dresses are for covering the body parts, should not like Baywatch girls walking on the street. I have seen many girls are projecting their body parts to lure something - in the name of fashion. You should not give up your culture.Dressing must be decent and attractive. Not to be vulgar. It is not necessary to project your private parts to get attention. Applicable to men also.
