MAVS

I am a Mavs fan and I do think this is our year. We use last year's choke job as a learning experience. The Spurs just don't seem as dominant but they are still very dangerous. The Suns are deadliy but with the way they play they wear themselves down and they can't play defense. So by the time the Mavs get their shot at them the Suns(especially Nash) will be a little tired. In the East, Detriot seems to be ahead of the pack. If the Heat get a good run going after the ASG, then they will be dangerous but can Wade and Shaq stay healthy enough? One more little side note, the Mavs play the east more after the Suns play the west more after the break.

If I were to just say that my favorite team would win the NBA Championship then I would say Chicago Bulls. But i honestly doubt it, i got hope, but just small, i know they will make some noise in the east with their good team. I would say Suns, Spurs,Mavericks, maybe Heat.
I expect suns to go no less than the nba finals, they reached the conference finals without amare, i should see no problem now. Spurs are currently silent in the west with the ongoing win war between mavs and suns, just wait till playoffs. I expect Mavs this time to fall to the suns though. I seriously doubt Detroit can even reach the conference Finals. Miami still has a chance, if they want another ring, they better do it now. Miami has a team of veterans, good they may be, but injuries are deteriorating them, Shaq is looking different now and Zo, Walker and Payton looks like guys about to retire. As Phil Jackson said, its the last dance. I slightly doubt Lakers would even reach the conference finals. Cavs? I dont think that would happen, one reason -LeBron shoots 68% from the foul line, and with his acrobatic moves, he's bound to draw fouls. Washington? I think they can reach at least conference semi finals. NJ needs to improve alot, with a trio of JKidd, VC, and Jefferson, they have disappointed me. Denver may have a good 1-2 punch with AI and Melo, but they still lack that thing that makes a good team a championship contender-role players on every position. With boykins gone, whose gonna let AI rest? They need a deeper bench. Lakers? Its not yet their year, maybe next year. Clippers? Disappointing acctually. Boston? Maybe get knocked out in the first round. Now bulls, i think they may need to improve their confidence. They have it now, Deng, Nocioni,Gordon for scoring, Kirk to guide the offence, Big Ben to make sure the mid is secured. Thomas is one rising star. So yes, they are complete, but then again, lack a deeper bench, and need to improve.

Thats all Peace Out!

P.S If Homer Sayson might be looking at this- I'm interested to be an opinionist at the sports column in sun star cebu^^

I'm a Heat fan and i would love to have them repeat as NBA champions. But i think the MAVS were just a tiny drop of luck short last year. And the first half of the season showed that there has not been any team that could match Dallas' firepower. MAVS all the way.

San Antonio, Dallas, or Phoenix.

No other teams are at the same level as these three.

Yes, the Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz have records somewhat similar to the above mentioned teams, but they will not do well in the playoffs.

You know, I'll probably get hammered for saying this, but I think the Heat will win it all again. Suns look good, but they keep up with that, "Eyes on the prize" crap. That's just begging for a butt-whooping. Like the one Detroit got last season. Mavericks look good, but I think they're going to get taken out by either the Spurs or Suns. In short, I think any team that is too cocky right now will underestimate the opponent that is going to beat them. Like the Mavs, Suns, and Spurs are.

Heat in 6, there's my prediction.

The Heat is running for another repeat and I believe that they could do it with Shaq & Dwayne. Last year they started off slow and so is this year. They're heading for a 5 games winning streak and more to comes with the Deisel back.

am going to go with the phoenix suns if they manage to keep their players healthy, but very close second would be the Mavericks, then the pistons if they keep their act straight
