Im throwing a masquerade ball in two days and Ive been struggling with music... I want to have some sort of classical theme to the music, but Im trying to find something up beat and modern. Instrumental is best, computerized is ok, less singing the better.

The only group that comes to my mind right now is "E.S. Posthumus" I don't know if it's a group either . . . anyway, I think I saw that described as modern classical somewhere. The album I bought is called "Unearthed" . . . it has some classical-ish sounds with synthesized sounds and some singing . . . nothing you can really make out though. Sounds like a chorus singing in another language. It's really neat sounding and most of the songs sound dramatic (not sad though). I don't know if that's what you're looking for, but I think you'll like it if you like that kind of music. iTunes is a good place to look for stuff like that too. You can browse it, and as you buy things it makes recommendations for you. You need to install iTunes though, if you don't have it already. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Good luck!

Dustin O' Halloran from Devics released a CD in which he plays his modern works in classical style on the piano.

check out Joe Pass, Yngwie Malmsteen, Andre Segovia. Those are all guitar guys. Also you may want to check out Rodrigo y Gabriela- they are very fresh and unconventional.
