Yes... Being tactful is an essential ingredient... If my boyfriend ever told me those pants really do make me look fat I will kick his butt no matter how sincere and honest he was or how kind he though he was being.

Yes, my husbands family for instance. They use ever opportunity to turn my words around and use them against me. And no matter how nice I am to them, they seem to only pretend to be nice to me just to get close to my kids. Then once my back is turned, they say the most awful untrue things about me. Holidays are horrid! ;(
