You should definitely complete at least your high school education no matter how long it might take. Realistically, getting a job without that minimum education can be very difficult. Also, you are now caring for yourself as well as a child.
Maybe you can identify what your weaknesses are in math and focus on those before you attempt to take the test again. Math simply requires lots of practicing! You can definitely do it!!
Good luck!

If you go looking for a basic job such as admin asst or customer service then a GED is just as good as a High School Diploma. You can get into a community college with either should you decide to go back to college later. Do the best you can to get one of them as even the basic jobs require one and I assume you will need to get a job at some point. The library has study books you can use. Often times you can get a tutor for free through Adult Ed or ROP depending on where exactly you live in California. Best of luck.

In most situations, a GED is not looked upon as well as a diploma. If you can arrange the childcare, get the diploma.
I understand the crux you are in, I and my wife are college students with 3 children. There is no such time as study time.
Good luck, but try to get the diploma, if you still can.

If you can try one more time. If you fail then get your GED. I do not beleive it will hurt your career goals. If you want college you can always start with community or tech. But the choice is yours. Also think about your child. Do you have a man? What does he think? Parents? All good questions, right a list down not of pros and cons but of goals and hopes.
