Ghostly Encounters?

Question

Has anyone ever had a really scary ghostly encounter? Or something you thought may have been a ghost....

Okay "x x" I will wait for you to die and then come and haunt me....LOL!

Funny you should ask...
I'm a Realtor, and I was showing a client around tonight after dark. We were viewing vacant old houses tonight. The first house we went to, I just had a funny feeling that we were being watched. I was feeling my way through the house, trying to turn on lights, when I just felt this cold chill go down my spine. I looked up at the wall in front of me to see a shadow move across the wall. It took everything in me not to scream right then.
So, I left the front door open trying to get some fresh air into the house the whole time we were in there because it had this strange acrid smell. We decided to move on to the next property, so I had to turn off all the lights. I went from room to room, and as I was going I felt like I was being chased, I got all the way to the front door, when I noticed that I forgot to turn off the back porch light. I practically ran across the dark house, hit the light switch and high tailed it back to the front door. I got outside okay. I grab the keys to lock the door, I look up and the door just starts moving on it's own and closing. I put my hand on the door and I felt a definite pressure against my hand, as if someone was pushing on the door from the other side. I took my hand off the door and it literally slammed shut in my face. My client and my partner both looked stunned at what they watched happen. Needless to say, I locked the door and got away from that house as fast as I could.
I'm still a little shaky about it.

I do believe in ghosts. spirits etc.. but I do not reckon they possess terrible powers like the ones we read about in novels and stories. Spirits and ghosts, afterall, are the weakest of what is left of a soul after the soul has left the host body. Hence it would not probably be possible for ghosts and spirits to move things, make noises or make someone bleed from their nose.

However, ghosts and spirits can take control of your mind to a little extent and make you feel things that you wouldn't do while you are sane. That is when you feel there is someone behind you, or there is something moving, or there is someone crying.. But in reality, it's just an induced fake experience.

And I did encounter such experiences 15 years ago. One of my crippled relatives committed suicide and a few months after the incident the whole family felt uneasy and reported disturbing experiences.

It was raining heavily and I was all alone at home. it was about 10pm and suddenly there was a power shut down. I thought i heard some funny sounds and started sweating. I could hear heavy breathing but there was no body else in the house. My panic started to rise with every growing moment and the eerie sounds of the storm only added to my discomfort. Suddenly there was a loud bang from my bedroom and I went in nervously to inspect. As I entered the bedroom I screamed in shock for I saw a horrible looking creature stand in front of me. To my surprise it was also having a terrified expression on its face. Just then the power came back. Hell it was my own reflection in the mirror. I realized that the ghost was in me and have since then stopped getting scared of such stuff.

Lets just say I've been ahhh, prone to ghostly or spiritual visits. I've seen some, heard some, and felt the stare. Once I got sick of feeling like I wasn't welcome in my living room at a house I was renting. So I finally said, Ok, I know you're there. Then the light bulb buzzed on and off quickly 3 times and popped. Seeing as how my children had a hard time there too, I just decided not to talk to it ever again.

It wasn't scary, my family used to live in a house in Detroit that an old lady died in. On night I couldn't sleep so I went out to the living room. I saw an old lady in a blue dress rocking in our rocking chair knitting. I was like 4 or 5 so I just ran back to my room. And later on my parents reveled that there were many other things that "she" liked to do. Like turn on the tv in the middle of the night, walk up and down the stairs for hours and cause stuff to drip from light fixtures. Just kinda weird you know.

when my sister was 8 her friend at school was murdered. A few weeks went bye and my sister reported she saw a face floating about her room. She saw this face on several occassion and some years went by when she saw this documentry about this face that would appear to people who were grieving or lost in battle.

I was staying at a motel when I woke up and this black prsence was over the top of me it was quite scary and I said the Lords prayer and it disapeared.

Long time ago my family move to this flat, the house was kind of cold, I remember I saw a figure floating on wall, is all white with a beard, he pointed to the door, I turn around and saw my older sister, I tell her do you see that ghost floating, she yes, we find out that some people dies there awhile back, after that my dad want to move out of the house, it was real scarey

I think I felt & heard one when I was cleaning a room at a hotel where I was working in housekeeping over the summer in college. Felt a very cold spot and heard a voice right behind me but there was no one else even in that wing at the time.

My old apartment has "activity" Items would move by themselves, our cats would hiss & chase stuff that wasn't there, we heard weird noises & weird things would show up in pictures. We heard voices when it was just us.=(
