How can I not let go of him. He is the typical Pisces, I am the typical Virgo, and sometimes I just wonder why I like him so much.

Well. Pisces men are supposedly avid day dreamers.
They usually need someone like a virgo to make sure that they're right inplace.

I don't follow the signs I follow my heart, my husband and I have been married for 16 years, and anytime I looked at that junk, we were NEVER compatible.

star signs are stupid. there are actually meant to be 14 signs and they don't want to change it then people will think they have been lying the entire time. FORGET about star signs or at least dont let them rule your life.
