I buy 2 Ply and use 9+ squares making it at least 18 Ply. I should repeat myself, I DO that to AVOID such mishaps.

I, too, use several squares to avoid such mishaps. I've never had my fingers go through the paper but I've had my hand kind of slip and got some poop on my finger. It's really gross.
