look in the mirror every morning and say out loud to your self that you are someone special. do this everyday for 30 days. tell your self positive things about yourself and be around positive people. do your hair get new cloths walk tall and believe you are special and feel your inter beauty. this will help you and if you are around someone close to you let them tell you one positive thing about yourself at least once a day. once you feel it people will see it by just watching you walk down the street, the way you move or carry yourself. but the key is to believe it when you say it everyday in the mirror out loud. do it every time you look in the mirror. you will start believing in you and it will even help you loose weight. you won't feel so bad and eat so much either. start this tomorrow morning. put a note on the mirror to remind you. good luck. been there that was part of my class when I took family life skills.

haha, My self esteem comes naturally. Here, I know for a fact, that I have a number of talents. The best way to raise your self esteem is to seriously just execute your talents! Seriously. Just try it for a week or two and tell me how you feel. And don't give me the bull **** about "what if i have no talents." No! Everyone does! Even something as little as watching T.V. hah yes I know. but let's analyze this. You watch T.V a lot! Like an awful lot! Put all these Media knowledge to use. Start being a media critic. Start a paper, a gazette, a magazine about your reviews on certain shows. Before you know it people are gonna love what your doing! Make a web page, anything! You can even get a news paper column if you've got some really good stuff. Now Take this concept and apply it to other aspects of you life, ANYTHING AT ALL! building, drawing, writing, playing, music (my fave!) ANYTHING!!!
P.s I really don't like t.v that much, It was just an example.

It's just a matter of waking up one day and choosing to be happy. What I do is I sleep until I forget what made me feel bad in the first place (not too difficult, because when I wake up I have more energy), and then I hurry up and try to get something done (that makes you feel better). If you put yourself in a position where people depend on you, that helps too. Hanging out with happy people who like you also helps. Good night!

By making your focus yourself...Do things for yourself..eat healthy and exercise and do things to make you think more of yourself. Do things to make yourself satisfied with yourself and you dont worry about satisfying others. Satisfying you first and usually when you are satisfied with yourself then you will have others who will be satisfied with you as well. Do things you like to do and do things that really satisfy you. Really raising self esteem is getting to know yourself.

i'm a girl and i have to admit my self esteem does go on the lay low at times. and usually it's boys that do it. just remember everyone is beautiful in the way. just believe in yourself and don't let anyone get you down because if you let things get to you, you will be a very unhappy and negative person. just remeber that and hopefully you'll see a change.... GOOD LUCK!

It helps to recognize that most of the time my doubts are just in my head, and that I really am more capable or well-liked than I think. It also helps to find someone (a friend, a counselor, a psychologist) who you can open up to and tell them your concerns, so that they can correct your misperceptions.
