You do not have to download anything. Go and open the Folder that your File is in you want to secure and Click FILE on the Toolbar at the top of the page. CLICK SEND TO ZIP FILE. After the Contents are IN the Zip File, OPEN the Zip FILE and CLICK FILE AGAIN When it Opens. THIS TIME CLICK File Again and you will have an OPTION to ADD A PASSWORD. I have made this as simple as I can, BUT if you need more help, please Click my Avatar and you will have my Email Address, or Send me YOUR email Address and I will walk you through it again step by step. XP has this Feature built in and there is NO NEED to Download anything that you do not need.

"A carpet" ?

You can try downloading PGP to help encrypt files and folders, but I'm not so sure it'll help you with home design.
