Hey there, I'm only in 10th grade so I can't answer the second part of your question - but I definitely do know that I would love to do something with science when I finish 12th grade! So I'm planning on going to Uni, study maybe biology, physics or chemistry (I don't care what as long as it's science)... and from there on, who knows what I will achieve? :=)

I wanted to be a Doctor as well. I wanted to help people, but didn't really know what career to get into because my parents couldn't put me through medical school.
I worked many jobs over the years but found that I had this "travel bug" that was not conducive to any of my jobs. I just couldn't settle on the usual 2 week vacation per year, and I wanted to see the world.
I have finally found what is right for me. I started a home business in health and wellness, I am able to help people with a variety of health issues and show every day people how to start their own business. I have solved all my problems! I get to help people, I can travel whenever I want to and still earn an excellent income. Life is good!

I wanted to become a Writer when I grow up, at that time I was about 9 years old. Then, I changed my ambition to McDonalds Cashier...because I love McD and I thought if I work there, I can eat as much burgers as I want for free.
At about 16 years old, I wanted to be a doctor. I studied hard in order to get into medical school. But, unfortunately, even with my excellent scores, they do not permit those who are colour-blind. Doctors must be physically fit.
So, I got into Business school instead. At first I hated the idea, I cried when I got the offer letter. But after spending 3 years around Business, it wasn't that bad.
Now, I'm Human Resource Manager....I still help people like a doctor, but towards a different audience.

I wanted to be a doctor and move to Africa to help out. Then I realized I cant take the sight of blood. So now I'm pursuing an MBA and want to get into supply chain management. If i do well, eventually I'll sponsor a doctor to go for me.

I wanted to be a writer. Right now I am 21 and I work at both a library and a police department (as a dispatcher) but I am still in college and going to school to become an English Literature professor. Hopefully that'll give me time to write =)

Believe it or not I wanted to be a shepherdess. I told that to my Kindergarten teacher who tried to tell me there was no such thing, that it was Shepherd. No it's not, I said, I'm a girl.
I am today a stay-at-home mom who lives on a farm with horses and sheep. I like it.
Your story sounds like my brother who did the same fast-track and became a very successful lawyer. He found it soul sucking. after 8 years he left his high paying job, did a year of volunteer work and now is a free-spirit, he owns a self-defence company for women.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be an author (fiction and nonfiction), a director (small art films and documentaries), a journalist (fashion and politics), a business owner, a fashion designer, and a charity foundation.
To date, I'm following all my dreams. How is it possible? Because all of my dreams are closely integretated with one another. If you look closely, everything can be supported by something else.
And yes...life is great now that I can do what I want to do!!!
