Why is it we can spend billions if not trillions of dollars on a war and pay such little attention to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and all those who still suffer from it. Isn't it time for our American people to come first?

When someone decides to use the money that was given for Katrina to use. They need to decide as a whole what they are going to do and with to much testoterone in a room nothing will ever get resolved.

The American People are comming first. Personal property is not the domain of the federal government. Some of what Katrina destroyed needs to go back to becoming a nature reserve to prevent this from harming people on this magnitude again. People were not ment to live in such a danger zone. It will happen again. Why are we rushing to rebuild that which will get hit again? People need to take some personal responsibility for themselves and reconsider if they should live in the Katrina devistated areas again. I live in southern New Jersey. I live here because I choose to. I live here because it is relatively safe from natural desasters. No eathquakes, floods, hurricans ect really ever hit this area. This is somethink I considered when I bought my house. This needs to be a consideration to others as well. Iraq is being done to keep 9/11 from ever happening again. If people do not understand this, then look at history. We are fighting those who committed 9/11 in Iraq now. It is better that we are fighting them on their turf than on ours. It is the federal government's job to protect us from terrorists. That is what they are doing in Iraq.
