guz zalen im 21 so you can just hush little teenager. its very obvious who is a teen on here and who isnt. you bratts just dont know we know.Teens have NOT always been known as disrespectful, a new "wave" of parenting has taken over, and now all the teens are little bratty taggers, and if someone wants to call me a disrespectful bratty teen then they can go for it. ooh thats very very offending.I think the little bratts like you should follow your own advice.

Hahaha... had to laugh. Sorry, but you were probably considered rude and bratty not too many years ago yourself!

I'm probably going to can a lot of flack for this answer but as a normal, intelligent teenager (I'm 14 and a half)... us teens are riding the mental, physical, emotional and hormonal rollercoaster that is puberty. We're confused and we're still growing, developing and learning how to deal with what's going on. Puberty isn't a breeze for everyone, in fact most people have a hard time going through it... I know I'm finding it a little tricky....

That said, I can't pin all the blame on our changing minds and bodies. Poor parenting does come into the picture; we're very impressionable and easily influenced by the actions of other people - notably our parents. If you're not taught good manners, you won't see bad manners as wrong - anything goes if you don't get reprimanded appropriately.

I agree with you. I'm 20 years old and I'm young I know but some of these teenagers I see now and days are really bad and very disrespectful. I also see it in young kids too like 8 year olds in restaurants running around like maniacs! I think the parents need to take a look at themselves and discipline their kids instead of letting them do whatever they want too.

It's not just the teenagers, I see little bratty elementary school children all the time. I do blame the parents. Too many kids have nothing better to do than hang out and get in trouble. They rarely have parental supervision or anyone around that cares enough to teach them differently. It really makes me mad....

You act like we all are disrepectful

It seems to me like your acting like your high and mighty and no everything(the truth is when you learn something youve only just seen the outside or have scratched the suface) and how must we act were at a confusing intervenal times in are lives where we think everythings agianst us were changing into adulthood and therefore we want to be treated equal with respect at least a little(for example my dad respects my ample mind for acceptance of others While i respect how he has been a model of fatherhood to his fullest extent he can provide)

This is coming from an educated 13 yr. old who respects his elders and officials(14yr old and 15yr. old cousins say this wil all change i guess ill have to wait and see) now you can atleast say were not all disrespectful but then agian full puberty hasent sat in for me

Well, some of us have been really careful and thoughtful with our parenting so that would not happen, and it has not with our teen.
I think it's mostly in the attitude. You seem really angry and out of sorts, and that doesn't go anywhere in dealing with a teenager. Try positive reinforcement, consequences for inappropriate behaviours, etc. instead of yelling or demanding. You will find things are better overall.
Wish you luck, and hope things go better with you.

The reason teens are so disrespectful and rude now, compared to years ago is because years ago a parent could take their kid and spank them for misbehaving. Now everyone is calling child abuse and I even heard some kids tell their parents that they will call 911 if they don't leave them alone!

Ok, I'll totally admit that a lot of teens these days are rude. But don't you think you're being a little immature here too...? You seem to enjoy ranting a little too much.

I agree. It's because you can't discipline your kids anymore without CPS coming in and taking your kids away. They think anytime a parent hits their kid it's child abuse and threaten to send the parents to jail and throw the kids in foster homes so parents are afraid and unable to discipline their kids. The kids know this so they act up.

We can't help it. All those raging hormones, body changes and all the other stuff. It is a very hard time for us to go through.
