Definitely.
You care about your friend, you've invested your time and heart to them.
Enemies are merely a nuisance, a frustration. You expect the worst from them because of what they are to you.
But friends... the absence of a friend cuts deep. It's disappointing because they actually mean something more to you than the average person.

Yes... there was a fellow long ago who said something like... 'I keep my friends close, and my enemies closer.' However, unless there is a battle underway, I do not seek the attention of those I do not enjoy. My ego is not crushed by an enemy's disdain. But my friends...? I feel their absence when I am away.
