I'm curious... how come the nurse didn't perform CPR? It says the "body guard" did. Ummm... I thought nurses did the medical stuff and bodyguards did the .. well .. guarding. I could understand her calling for help FIRST - but wouldn't the nurse insist she be the one to perform the CPR? And why did she have a nurse? What is in the 8 bags of evidence that Crime Scene Investigation is removing from the room? Why is the news speculating "Medication Interference" as the third possible cause of death? Do they know something we don't? Are they playing it safe so they don't get sued for saying something not yet confirmed? So many questions -- yet.. I know we will just have to wait it out. I wonder though ... all these things that are floating around in my brain ... what really happened? Why did the police chief NOT have answers BEFORE he spoke to the news? All he said was "I haven't been to the room yet." And why didn't they play the call to 911? Something's not right here ...

Hehe... I don't work for any newspaper. I just got overwhelmingly curious on the information I was reading/viewing on various news sites. I watched the interview with the Seminole Police Chief and there was a lot of answers being given out from him that were seemed like they were hiding something. You can watch the same interview I watched at this site: javascript:cnnVideo('play','/video/showbiz/2007/02/08/sot.anna.police.presser.wfor','2007/02/22');

Wow, what newspaper do you work for? Pandering to the press is the best way ever to screw up a case. As for the evidence, all the trash, and basically anything not standard hotel room issue was bagged and tagged by evidence techs or detetctives.
Most bodyguards if they are worth a darn are at least first responder trained, if not at least EMT certified.
Prematurely speculating in the law enforcement world is a good way to kiss careers goodbye. Later everyone would second guess the chief and why he wanted the limelight so quick.
A good Chief (I worked for maybe 1 in my career) will let you do your job before grabbing the microphone and screwing things up. A great Chief won't even go into the crime scene until things are sorted out by his or her capable officers and detectives.
So don't rush things, you can live without knowing for a few more hours and so can everyone else!

Speculation, isn't it wonderful?

I heard her bodyguard was her nurse........hum-m-m....

She reportedly was not feeling well with fever and flu like symptoms the night before.
Maybe her husband was trying to poison her, you know, with cultured bacteria like in the Farrah Fawcett, Sam Elliott (true story)movie, "Murder in Texas." Maybe that didn't work fast enough so he administered some (more) dope?
Then again, there was some talk about her use of Methadone and there is only so much the heart can take before it gives out.
This is gonna be a tough one to crack if there was any foul play involved, given the fact that Ms. Smith was seldom sober... .

I think the CPR was applied too late. Even with a private nurse, I doubt the nurse was joined at Nicole's hip. Probably the nurse discovered Nicole after being away for a bit.

Possible that the bodyguard was stronger and could do the chest compressions better than the nurse. CPR is VERY exerting and can tire the performer EASILY.

Wow, that's a lot of info you got there. Who knows what happened, the media probably won't ever tell us what truly happened and I guess only the ones that were there with her know the answers. Anyway, as I have said in all the ANS posts, I feel sad for the baby girl she left behind.

I have been wondering myself why she had a private nurse.

My theory is methamphetamines. She's lost weight and she's always bombed.
