yes, Gary Bettman said at the All Star game on CBC (HNIC) with Ron MacLean that another team in Canada would succeed in Canada cause of this new salary cap and plus are Canadian money is doing way better then it was just 5 years ago. they will not make the league any bigger as it won't work cause of the failure of the past 20 years on expanding the league in weak market teams like Florida, Phoenix, Anaheim, San Jose, Carolina, Nashville, Carolina and also Columbus yes i know people will be mad at me for mentioning there teams but its true. and the talent has spread so much that it made the scoring lower then in the 70's and 80's and that's why you see so much rule changes today to make the goal scoring higher then it is and what Bettman doesn't understand is the league was just doing find in the late 80's and early 90's ahead of the NBA and then the league went from 24 teams to 30 in the next 12 years and we all witnessed the NHL falling apart.
to Anaheim fans yes your team is doing great so is the Preds but the market for hockey is so weak there its not working these teams will lose all there top stars in the next 2 years cause of no money to support the team and this is true. no fans no money.
and all the teams i mentioned can be relocated within the next 10 to 20 years maybe even sooner then we think. and i don't want the Pens to leave cause they do have great fans they just need a city behind them to help them get the new arena which the fans deserve, and the team has been there since 1967 the next six.

This is tested every year. If you take a look at the pre-season. Games are played in different markets (pits-philly in London, ON this past year) to test to see if that market could support a team or if putting a team in a place would draw away from another team (The reason Hamilton COPPS has not gotten team although it could support it, its because it pulls from the Buffalo-Toronto markets). I could see London, ON get a team or even Quebec but I don't think the west Winnipeg will see it again.

Yes, it's a distinct possibility. The Copps Coliseum and MTS Centre are obvious venues. If a team could work it out with Maple Leaf Entertainment, another team could move right into the Air Canada Centre, just like the Lakers and the Clippers.

Although Winnipeg is an overwhelming favorite to get a new team, it doesn't look good for Canada. The NHL needs to come up with a Common Monetary Unit or else more Canadian teams will relocate south of the border.

I think they should get two more teams both expansion teams in the NHL both from Canada. One definitely in Quebec and the other I don't know.

There will be no growth of the NHL until they get rid of the Worst Sports Commissioner in the History of Space-Time(Gary Bettman)

yes there will be another Canadian team, but not from expansion...from relocation
Nashville, Anaheim, Florida, Washington, Columbus, New Jersey, Phoenix, and Atlanta are poor hockey markets. I think at least one of them will move to a Canadian market. It probably won't be anytime soon, but I think it'll happen someday.
