Want to be a romantic, card, some roses, but would like also to give something else. Something to show special appreciation, and be practical. But I am open to anything, such as maybe knickknack items. She has 2 girls, 5, 9.

Make her a scrapbook focusing on your relationship together and where you want to take things....she'll love it, because you took the time to make it....

What every mother wants for Valentines day is a night away from her children at a restaurant that does not have high chairs or crayons where she can have a drink (because she is not driving), a nice meal and adult conversation. Of course, that is what I want, and I have 2 girls 3 & 7. With babysitter and a meal that can get expensive, but there are all sorts of ways to do it and handle all the details to make it easy for her to relax and feel pampered.

Peace!

For your girl Friend buy her a rose, a romantic card, and something in Kay jewelers she will love that. For the five year old little girl you can buy her a cute little card with a stuffed bear, and a chocolate if her moms says yes to it. For the nine year old again buy her a card that represents who she is to you and ask her what she likes and maybe get something she really really needs or wants be surprising they will love that especially the mother she will know for a fact that you are the men of her dreams.

Best idea ever...

Buy her the roses (or find out a flower she really adores and go for that instead) and place them in a clear vase (Craft section of Wal-Mart for $3 or less). Before you put the flowers in, get some red construction paper and cut into squares and on each one, write down one reason you love her and do 20-30 or so, however many will feel the vase to a reasonable amount, and put them in the vase along with the flowers..It is very personal and trust me SHE WILL LOVE IT!!!

Aww how sweet! Well, in that situation, I believe that receiving a gift certificate to a local spa for a certain service (facial, massage, etc.) would be perfect. Another idea could include a special videogram which could show you acting out a song or some other skit...I always think they're adorable and memorable.

for the last two holidays, my boyfriend has bought me jewelry. i told him for valentines day, i want a kitten.
...even though an engagement ring would be schweet....
....but i want a kitten more at this point. :-)
does she collect any sort of item? i absolutly LOVE getting trinket boxes. you know, the small, pretty ceramic or wooden 'jewelry boxes' that can generally only hold about one pair of earrings and a necklace? i love getting those....the more detailed the more i like it.
are there any new movies that she would like to watch?
a certian type of wine she likes?
maybe get her a bottle of wine, some chocolate covered strawberries (look for them in your produce section at your local grocery store) and a babysitter for the night.... and the two of you can spend a nice, childless romantic night. not to say her kids aren't cool. but every mom i've ever met in my entire life, no matter how much they love their children, appreciate a break every now and then.

A night out... just the 2 of you. You arrange the night, surprises are always nice. (Get a babysitter or relative to mind the children)
Wake her up to flowers.
Afterward - Dinner & dance, romantic movie then take her for a nice walk.

Enjoy! ( Don't forget a card - with a nice centiment on it!)

I know something she will find sweet; is you give the little girls something like a little heart box of candy or something. This way she thinks that you really like her and appreciate her more by showing you care about her children.
