the real me, is often at odds with the me who is presented to the world. i feel the need to kindle the fascade, and repress that which makes me...me. but i think everyone does it to some extent, and i also recognize that this is a self imposed prison sentence that i find myself in. id rather live in my world of occasional delusions, since the real world has little use for me, and i for it.

I certainly do, since age 6 or so.

I have a very profound derealization disorder. Nothing, including myself, is real to me.

That may sound funny, but the disorder has totally destroyed my life, and my ability to enjoy what life has to offer. I go through life in a permanent daze, faking normality by watching how others behave.

Imagine waking up very groggy and not being able to clear your head. Or, better yet, imagine you're dreaming and woke up, only to find you're still dreaming. Then, no matter how hard you try, you cannot wake up, but slip from one dream state to another.

That's a very small fraction of what this feels like.

I would not wish the feeling inside my head on anyone.

I'm too nice to be on the Real World. I don't have those kinds of problems.
