We as a country have always to take issues on merit... Choose what is mutually advantageous for extending cooperation... keep aloof in matters that is likely to help others at our expense, at some stage..
In politics, every government has to decide on foreign relations with utmost caution... Remember how Russia whom we much depended at one stage, started to take undue unadvantage... how China invaded after the much publicised Panchsheel accord and the slogan "Indi chini bai bai"... No one can say how things will turn in future - in the dynamic change of interests at global level... See how Americans are shifting in favour of India (evidently with an eye on our economic boom that would help their markets)...
Hence whether it is China, America or Pak, we have to keep cordiality without much undue trust, extend friendship in all avenues of mutual advantages, and keep our strategies for domestic security alert as well...

We as Americans shouldn't and India shouldn't as well. What the United States is doing is essentially, feeding a wild tiger. China is buying all of our scrap metal and is gearing up for a conflict over Taiwan. As India is a nuclear power, there might also be trouble there. But no, absolutely no country should trust China with its not-so silent preparations for war and total lack of regard for human rights.

During the Cultural Revolution, China said it cared about overpopulation and the high birth rate. They managed to bring down the birth rate with the "one child per family" law, but chinese birth control pills do not work!! Their birth control pills are based on their dating system of 13 months. We are using the most accurate dating system in the West and that's why the birth control pills allocated in 12 months segments insead of 13 work well.
Or they could try the inhumane Russian method of controlling too many people by shooting them. The civilized method is abstinence education, birth control, and planned parenthood in India..

India should trust China in the matter of economic co-operation. Politically we should not trust China as it has claimed our territory as their own.

Yes, let india trust on economic and development matters, let there be friendship and understanding between both the countries, for mutual benefits. Both countries face similiar problems of overpopulation and poverty.
As much as we trust them and are friendly, we shall be ready if they betray our trust. We must be strong and capable and ready, only then will china also respond and respect us.

You can not trust any country because it is the self interest which is supreme for every country. Therefore we have to have trust in ourselves and follow policies which are in interest of our own country.
