sixteenth notes are the ones that are connected with two lines on the top. Sometimes if it is a single sixteenth note it will have two flags on the top of the note. Quarter notes have no flags, and are usually singly written. Eight notes are the ones that have only one flag or if they are in a sequential pattern they have only one bar connecting them. I know this because not only was I in band, but I was also majoring in music, and took a music theory class. The difference is the length it was played. A quarter note is played on every downbeat. For every eight note it is played twice between the downbeats, one on the downbeat, one b/w the downbeat and the next. Sixteenth notes are played four times on the dowbeat. If I could sing it to you I could explain it better, but for now, this is the best I can do! Best of luck!

there are graphs at the link i've provided to help you ...............Here's what to do: Clap, count, tap your foot or whatever, but get a steady rhythm of four perfectly separated beats going. Now count over that rhythm, "one, two, three, four". If we write this out as seen below, these are quarter notes (or crotchets in the UK), represented by a single black note head with a stem. Each note is separate and not connected to another:
Eighth notes (1/2 beat)
Now for the note values. When there are notes between the counts we start to use horizontal bars called beams that connect the notes. Two equally spaced notes per beat are called eighth notes (quavers in the UK). When an eighth note appears alone it represents only half a beat. When this happens the beam has no other note to connect to and it trails off, hanging over the single note. This is called a hook or a flag (see graphic). These single notes are normally preceded or followed by a moment of silence called a rest. Like notes, rests can also last different amounts of time and are represented by symbols, as seen below (more on them later). Go back to your four-beat counting and put an "and" squarely between the numbers (think marching band rhythm, not swing rhythm).

quarter notes are just little circles with sticks sticking up and they take up 1/4 of a whole note and you count them 1 2 3 4
eighth notes are little circles with flags and they take up 1/8 of a whole note and you count them 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +
sixteenth notes are little circles with 2 flags and they take up 1/16 of a whole note and you count them 1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a

Sixteenth notes have 2 flags hanging off of them,
Eights note has one flag
whole note has no flag
And it says what they are
A whole note plays the whole entire note.
The eighth note only plays an eighth of a whole note
A sixteenth not only plays a sixteenth of a whole note

on occasion, thoughts for a weigh down could be complicated because of the fact they are new to you and you're no longer specific the thank you to act. you have mixed thoughts. once you spot your weigh down, an element of you are able to experience embarrassed and it rather is recommended to run away and cover. yet another area of you may think of your weigh down noticing you and sharing the comparable thoughts. Crushes are somewhat like the romantic love adults experience in the direction of one yet another. And in a fashion, a weigh down can help us think of relating to one in each and every of those individual that we could love whilst we advance up. they help us comprehend which features we observe and prefer in yet another individual — and consistent with probability some that we don't love. i might wait purely somewhat extra get to be attentive to him as a chum and then take it from there...........good luck

You're an idiot. Do your own homework. This stuff is easy. You're obviously not listening to your music teacher, otherwise you wouldn't be coming off as such a dork right now. I deem you unworthy of any musical study after today.
