Usually, when we look at a problem with another individual, we use a thought processing part of our brain which gives us a logical spin on the situation. When we consider something that is going on in our personal life, we are usually tied up with the emotions involved and cannot see it in the same objective light because we are using a totally different part of our brain, one that does not see logic.

When it's not your problem that you are advising about you don't have the emotional factors that make hard decisions harder. Example- When a girl has been dating a guy for a while and then he starts treating her worse and worse, the friends of the girl can see that she needs to leave, but the girl herself has invested much time and effort into the relationship. This gives her an added ingredient in the equation that just complicates the decision.

I have a theory that the Creator, God, Life, Love, nature or whatever you call the source of all that is has engineered this phenomena to teach us about the essence of life - love. We are all capable of all that is life enhancing but must cooperate to achieve ultimate bliss. Does that make sense? Oh...I don't know! Anyway, we are blind to our own faults to enable our mates to become a part of us through trouble shooting but unfortunately egotism gets in the way more often than not. It also might be that another's problem is easier to dissect because we are not emotionally involved and therefor can apply logic.

It's so easy for us to criticize and pick on other people's mistakes. In our own eyes, we are perfect, we don't need to change anything. It would, however, be better if we fix ourselves first.
Sometimes however, it's hard for people involved in a situation to see everything going on. I call this "the inside the circle" but people outside the cirlce can see better. That doesn't give them the right to completely take over the situation and start finding solutions for it.

If you could solve all your problems, then you wouldn't have any.
The ability to offer advice to other people, but not to yourself, isn't all that puzzling. You offer advice to yourself all the time; you just don't notice this because, most of the time, you figure out solutions to your problems. It's the problems that you can't solve that really stick out in your mind.
You should only start to wonder when you're able to solve a problem of someone else's that is identical to your own problem, yet you can not solve your own.

Because the problem is answered by those who dont have the same problem as you or / and if they did they could deal with it because in the past they had the same prediciment as you and thats why they can advise you with the best possible solution.. Somebody with the same difficult problem as you are not going to answer if they are in the same prediciment as you unless they have found an answer to their problem and are passing it on to you..Other people who answer who are not going through what you are are doing so because they are just trying to help thats all, and theres nothing wrong with that. Would it not be worse if people did'nt give a s**t and did'nt answer you at all..

Giving up, being lazy.
When most of us try to solve a problem we come up with the requisite 2 or 3 alternative solutions. If all three don't work, we give up. HOW SAD!. Maybe the fourth idea would've worked; but, we will never know because we were too lazy to think of it.

If one can realize the truth in him/herselves then itz not a big deal to put ourselves in to context with ultimate cool and understanding of the situation and come out with the best of solutions.

Because, a human being seeing them self for whom they truly are is and will be the most difficult thing to do.We love to see faults in others , but seeing faults in ourselves is another issue. It is just human nature.

it's easier to look outside the box than in it. basically, it's a lot easier to observe other people than it is yourself.
