What personality traits of a scorpio make its symbol the scorpion?

I don't believe all scorpios are like scorpions (quiet and venomous), but that's said to be their personality trait.

Go out in the night and see for yourself, even the sky would tell you so. Scorpions are very caring for their family and do not mind even their own lives for the family but no outsider can penetrate in the inside ring.... behavior is both of Humans as well as that of a scorpion. Vengeful is a trait supreme to them.

Eagle? That*s news to me. Both my parents are Scorpios and I never heard about an Eagle. Also "Half-man, Half-horse" isn*t a symbol for any Star-Sign I*m aware of.

I used to be acquaintances w/ a scorpio.
She was manipulative, angered easily,
often jealous, stubborn,disrespectful,
& a trator, she always used her stinger
on me all the time! Even when I didn't
even do a dog gone thing to her!
What a jerk!

if you every cross them you'd better watch out for that stinger,they are capable of murder,if that rage of jealousy get out of control,pretty scary huh,they can be when angered.
