Do you idiots realize that the majority of the US lives below the poverty level?? Hell I work in the RE business and get to travel to many different towns and places. I have traveled throughout the US and Mexico. Ppl have and idea that US is vastly superior. But the fact is that although there is not alot of money in Mexico ppl live good lives. Poverty in Mexico is not like poverty in the US. But since most of you are poor in the US you will never have the chance to travel. The majority of the US does not have adequate sewage systems or clean running water. I see these rednecks living in deplorable conditions. Not to mention blacks in America. There is alot of money in America but everyone owes it so noone really has sh!t in America. How many ppl here really own their home?? (No Mortgage) Did you know how stupid America has become intellectually?? We rely on 3rd world contries as you say for all our sciences, health, and technology. So lets lose our arrogance. Look at our president.

First of all, The U.S has always sucked major balls in soccer,like you said, it wasn't until the 90's that the U.S drastically began to improve. In my mind there is no doubt that Mexico is a better overall team, you all saw it last wednesday when Mexico dominated the game. Soccer is unpredictable, and the U.S pulled off a win (with the refs help). But the truth be told, the U.S will only continue to improve in soccer. Doesn't it only make sense that this is true? How can you compare the U.S to Mexico? In the U.S, the land of the Rich, any little boy that has any soccer talent is exploited, his rich parents send him to the best teams, the best training, and what happens? The best players are able to make it to the top? NOT IN MEXICO!! Million's of young kids with talent are left to work instead of playing soccer because they are too poor to trade the game for money! A country like the U.S has an unfair advantage in any sport because of the money and resources around, and all the opportunity, and whats sad is that it is an accepted fact that Mexico is a better soccer team. Yea, Mexico is cursed when it comes to playing the U.S, this happens in sports all the time! They don't have the mentalitly to beat the U.S, but that doesnt prove the U.S is better. Look at the world cup performance, other cup games, the U.S still sucks, Mexico is elite. Yes, the U.S will continue to get better, naturally. But I garantee that despite the third world conditions of Mexico, Mexico will always be a better tram than the U.S, and frankly that is just SAD.

Before the 80´s soccer was a unimportant, and still is relatively unimportant in the States.

The fact is that the ONLY thing that counts in a game is the score line. It doesn´t matter if it was a high-light real goal, or a lucky bounce, once the ref´s whistle blows it goes on to the SCOREBOARD.

Rafa Marquez should know better. As a huge Barcelona fan, living in Catalunya, Marquez has had a terrible last 2 months of soccer. Making silly comments like they won by luck, and that you out played them simply shows his frustration with both his personal lack of form and Mexico´s inability to win against the U.S.
