Ok, My Girlfriend Is Going To Vegas In A Couple Of Days And I Wanted To Make Her A Mix Cd Or Two. But I'm Totally Stuck On What Songs To Use. Of Course I Want To Put A Few Romantic Songs On It But I Don't Want The Whole Thing To Be Mushy. She Likes Everything From Old Rock And Roll To Country To Jazz To Heavy Metal. There's Almost Nothing That She Doesn't Like In The Way Of Music. What Do You Guys Think?

If you want romance, and your girl likes old rock, I recommend Sir Elton John (Tiny Dancer, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Your Song), and/or Billy Joel (Uptown Girl, River of Dreams, Just The Way You Are). For country, I'd go with Garth Brooks (The Thunder Rolls, Friends In Low Places). I'd even get some good old Reba McEntire in there. Country girls love her. For jazz, I'd definitely put Miles Davis (Some Kind of Blue, Bitches' Brew). If you want heavy metal, you should put AC/DC. You should also put some Nirvana in there as well.

Anyway, those are my ideas. The songs in parenthesis are songs you should put on the tape. Good luck!

I just made a mix for a friend of mine and put current sentimental songs on it, but then added some really cheesy "old" vegas songs for fun. Like: A little less conversation OR Viva Las Vegas- Elvis, Fly me to the Moon - Sinatra, Shangri-La OR Donke Shoen - Wayne Newton, Ain't that a kick in the head - Sammy Davis Jr., Leaving Las Vegas, etc.

if she likes jazz you might try something by jamie cullum from his cd twentysomething, new spin on jazz but awesome, not mushy just good listening.a country song that is classic and you cant wrong with is "i cross my heart" by george strait, extremely romantic, but great.if youre looking for new country faith hill and tim mcgraw duet "its your love"you could always throw some elvis on there and maybe some.old metallica can never steer you wrong.someone not many people know about is a singer/songwriter/producer named butch walker from his album letters "mixtape" and/or "promise".and just for something not as romantic you could try another of his albums left of self-centered in the early nineties was in group called marvelous 3 they had quite a few albums all are just fun and a little different.im just a huge fan of this guy but his music rocks.good luck and i hope this helps.
