sorry mark ... we may be able to blame the yanks a few things .. but we CAN'T blame them for our net-works buying their shows...
infact we can blame ourselves for not giving support to local made productions and for many of us getting addicted to *THEIR CRAP*
I watch two american shows on a regular basis ( my name is earl and how i met your mother) but mostly watch the ABC and SBS .
It is WE who are to blame this time.

Perhaps it's called syndication or affiliation rights. The agreement on ownership rights tied to those stations there.
