Please do not generalize because this is certainly not the case, either way.

I am Canadian and I don't hate Americans. I have, however, lost a lot of respect for some of them (ie the American Republican Goverment), but that goes for a lot of people from other countries too, including my own. I have lost respect for the people who are closed minded and don't respect the choices of others. I have lost respect for those who make up lies to serve their own agenda. I have a lot of gay friends and I don't think they should be judged differently than others. I am pro-choice when it comes to abortion. I am against the death penalty. I believe in free speech and that anyone speaking their mind should not be boycotted, insulted, threatened or told to move. I believe in letting others believe what they want and not to step on or insult their beliefs (ie I have no problem with anyone who does not believe in what I am saying here and/or anyone who does not share my religion). I believe in giving everyone a chance. Innocent until proven guilty. I do not hate Americans, althought I have lost respect for some of them and I hope that they do not hate Canadians either.

Well i am Canadian and I do not hate Americans and most Americans I know do not hate Canadians. I am sorry that you feel this way but I do not think it is true. There are good and bad in all ways of life but it does not mean we hate each other.

I'm American and I like almost all of the Canadians I've ever met and they seem to have liked me. Even Quebecians and they don't even like Canadians.
There may be some competitions and complaints between us but that's common even in the closest of families. So far, we've been able to settle our differences which have been few.

Nobody "hates" Americans, we just don't like anyone who steals resourses under the guise of national security. Having respect for other cultures may help to discern a Canandian from an American, and understanding that respecting these cultures may be easier than invading them for corporate profit.Maybe being respectful of others is something that the American news media isn't allowed to report on.All I see on american news is hatred and fear. And considering that it was them who allowed Bush to be elected through lies and control of the media, should give you some sort of idea of why the rest of the planet has lost all respect for america......and lets not forget about haliburton.Respect is earned..not forced!

Hey - here in Alaska, we love Canadians! In fact, we even celebrate Canadian Days here. And the Canadians love to send their kids to our colleges, so I don't know where you got the idea that they hate Americans.
Canadians are great people - warm and friendly. Their country is beautiful and they have some awesome hockey.

I live in Detroit, and have spent many, many hours in Canada. I love it there, and have never met a Canadian who seemed to have a problem with me being from the states.
English friends of mine referred to Canada as "provincial", but I find the country quite progressive, and VERY MUCH safer than the US due to banning of guns!
Toronto Rocks!!!
BTW---Canadians are Americans, too!

I'm American and I think that Canadians are perfectly fine. I've never had a problem with them. I would like to visit Canada one day. I would hope they don't hate me either.

I don't think that Canadians hate the Americans. I think they hate the government policies which are very unfair to our good neighbor to the north. I know many Canadians and they are wonderful folks..........

I don't hate Canadians. They NEVER did anything to me.
We do however have a Canadian family in my city and they make no bones about how they hate the US. WHY? Their kids are both gay and they don't fell accepted...couldn't that happen in Canada too?
